'Miyajima...

                                                                            'Miyajima'
I have an obsession, an obsession that drives me to a place of wonders and mystery! The first time I ever thought of Japan it was a bit racist, I grew up in a part of South Australia for a short time that was surrounded with Asians. I was taught to stay away from them and think nothing of them, but then I started to learn Japanese for some stupid reason I was drawn to learn this language over German (my mother is German)  I drifted away from my ethnicity and stepped forward to something completely strange to myself. My first ever taste of Japan was learning the language at school throughout year 8 and 9, but unfortunately I moved house and school's and now I am in a school that the majority of the students there are Italians and Greeks. I am unhappy that I am in this school for one reason, the reason that they do not teach Japanese. But I guess I got over that some time ago when I started to continue with this interest of mine, now it isn't going the best but I am slowly getting there.

About 70% to 80% of the country is forested, mountainous, and unsuitable for agricultural, industrial, or residential use. That means there is 70-80% of Japan I can be alone in looking at amazing things. I am addicted to this culture, the nature in its land and the people who live among each other everyday. I am envious of the people who live there, I am jealous of the people who can speak Japanese fluently, and hopefully one day I will be able to express my love for this brilliant land to another who is willing to sit and and take time and put effort into it.

My plan is to start my apprenticeship in Commercial Cookery within the next few months and then hopefully one day  cook in a Japanese restaurant for a year or so come back to OZ ;D cook some more for a few years :), and perhaps go back to Japan. But this is just what I would like to do I never know what is going to happen in my life it always turns out strange!

Dreams are the start of everything.
